6 Inch (152 mm) Vandal-Resistant, Flame Retardant Ceiling Speaker
A high-sensitivity wide range ceiling speaker for trains and high traffic transit areas. The driver is a 6", 8 ohm, flame retardant speaker. It is mounted to an 8.5" diameter, protective grille made from durable 20-gauge steel. The grille is finished with an attractive light-ivory, powder coat finish. Between the driver and the grille is a stainless steel, wire mesh, vandal-resistant security screen to further protect the speaker cone against foreign objects.
The assembly is enclosed with a slim-line, heavy-duty 22-gauge back-box, which is finished with a corrosion resistant zinc plating. A secure electrical connection is made to the speaker using 6-32 steel electroplated screws with Phillips heads. The screws are insulated from the back-box with FR-4 rated vulcanized fiber board.
