6 Inch (152 mm) Vandal-Resistant, Flame Retardant Ceiling Speaker

This high-sensitivity wide-range ceiling speaker is for trains and high-traffic transit areas. The driver is a 6", 8 ohm, flame-retardant speaker mounted to an 8.5" diameter protective grille made from durable 20-gauge steel. The grille is finished with a corrosion-resistant clear zinc coating; the grille featured in the product imagery is an example of the 90156 with a light-ivory powder coat finish. The exact finish will need to specified by the customer. Between the driver and the grille is a stainless steel, wire mesh, vandal-resistant security screen to further protect the speaker cone against foreign objects.

The assembly is enclosed with a slim-line, heavy-duty 22-gauge back box, which is finished with corrosion-resistant zinc plating. A secure electrical connection is made to the speaker using 6-32 steel electroplated screws with Phillips heads. The screws are insulated from the back box with FR-4-rated vulcanized fiberboard.
